Collection of blood for the spring Red Cross drive starts today at Phillips Brooks House. Almost a thousand students have pledged donations, and William R. Polk '51, drive chairman, expects the current drive to exceed last fall's total of 387 pints.

A Massachusetts Red Cross mobile-unit will be in operation at PBH from 12 noon until 5 p.m. today. Collections are scheduled for today and tomorrow, but if more students turn out than can be handled in two days, the drive will last through Friday.
