Powning Selected as '53 Hockey Manager

Maynard W. Powning '53, of Wayland and Mower Hall, was elected manager of the freshman hockey team for 1949-50 yesterday in a meeting of the hockey manageria! staff. Powning was responsible for handling this year's Yale game as acting manager and thereby won his numerals.

Roger A. Moore '53, of Framingham and Weld Hall, is the new assistant manager. Both he and Powning will be eligible to compete in the competition for the post of assistant varsity manager next year.

Results of this year's competitions for varsity and assistant varsity managers have not yet been disclosed.
