Economics 1 Tops Elective Courses; Math 1b, Second

Economics 1 is the most popular elective course given this term, with Math 1b and Government 1b closely following in second and third places.

The basic Economics course has an enrollment of 408 students, according to figures released yesterday by Registrar Sargent Kennedy '28. As a result, Economics 1 is second is numbers only to the required English A, which has an enrollment of 816 students.

This is the second year that Ec 1 has held the lead among the elective courses. Last year 549 students took the course.

Math 1b Next

Math 1b, with 385 students, is in second place among the electives, and third place goes to Government 1b, which has 382 students enrolled.

Last year Math 1b was in fourth place with an enrollment of 412 students, and Social relations 1b, now in sixth place with 322 enrollees, held second place with 427 students.

Fourth and fifth places are held this year by History 61b and Music 1, having 335 and 326 students, respectively.
