Annex Books Will Go Out at 3 p.m.

After debate at an open meeting today, Radcliffe Student Council decided to change the checking out time on open reserve books from 4 p.m. to 3 p.m. Checking out time for closed reserve books, however, remains at the original time of 5 p.m.

Primary reason for the change in hours is to obtain greater circulation of the reserved books. The vote was 12 to 9 in favor of the change in time. The measure is "temporary, and purely experimental," Joan Braverman '50, president of Student Council, explained.

"If it doesn't work, I shall be the first to say, 'Let it go,'" Miss Ruth Poritt, head librarian, announced.
