Joe Vera, out of competition for almost a month with a leg injury, will return to action today as the varsity fencers face Yale in New Haven. The freshman fencers will close their season with a match against the Blue.
The Crimson varsity has an unimpressive record so far this year of one win, one tie, and three losses. Two of the defeats-to Columbia and Army-were by a single point.
Today's match will be the varsity's last dust meet of ht season, but they will compete next week in the Inter-Collegiate in New York.
Going into their final meet, the freshmen have a record of three wins and one loss. Since their opening defeat by Andover, the Yardlings have topped Clark, Thayer, and BU.
The varsity lineup:
Foils: Frankmann, Vera, Martin. Saber: Gay, Carter, Levine, Pierece. Epee: Morton, Overholser, Smith.
The Freshman Lineup:
Foils: Jertson, Schroeder, Chandler, Beels. Saber: Ziel, McConaughy, Bushman, Herrera. Epee: Cushing, Ford, McNair.
