A speedy Exeter quintet took advantage of the absence of Yardling captain Dick Lionelle to hand the freshman basketball team a surprising 72 to 61 defeat at the Blockhouse yesterday. It was the second loss in nine games for the Yardlings.

Led by Monty Knight and John Parker who scored 18 and 15 points, respectively, the Exeter club relinquished the lead only once during the contest.
