Sever Loses, Grads Buy Aged Relics

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Nostaigic alumni have kicked in almost $3,500 for over 200 motivated Sever Hall desks. The University decided early in the Fall to replace the native art-works with shiny varnished single desk-seats.

The valuable sports and historical records inscribed on the venerable fixtures would have been lost forever but for the timely intercession of the Alumni Association. It offered the desks for sale at $15 to graduates.

The Association shipped them out express collect, but offered no suggestions about possible uses. That is up to the purchaser. It is obvious they cannot be used as writing tables.

Receipts from the sale go toward the remodeling of Wadsworth House into an alumni center.
