Still uncertain of their progress so far, two teams from Harvard will make their final appearances in the MIT Debate Tournament at Tech today.
The tournament is so arranged that each of the 18 colleges participating enters two teams which take the negative and affirmative of the subject: "Resolved, That all basic non-agricultural industries should be nationalized."
Both Harvard teams debated three times yesterday, but the decisions will not be published until after the fourth and last debate today.
Holding that so-called "free competition" is now merely a fetish, Richard W. Hulbert '51 and John G. Morey '52 defended the resolution.
Henry J. Steiner '51 and Alex Lichanco '52 claimed that wholesale nationalization would lead to curtailment of individual liberties.
