Students Funds Up In Charity Drive

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Student charities took a larger cut in this fall's Combined Charities Drive than last year, Jerome B. Spunt '50, treasurer of the Drive, revealed last night.

Of the total $22,116 collected, one-third was earmarked for the six student charities listed on the solicitor's card, one sixth went to the Student Council, and one-quarter remains unallocated. The remainder went to 48 different charities in the United states and abroad.

A special committee will meet next week to consider the $5,530 unallocated fund. Present plans, according to Spunt, are to keep it in reserve until June to avoid a second drive.
