Bob Margarita last night denied a Boston newspaper story which claimed that he had been approached concerning the Harvard football coaching job. Margarita is currently coaching freshman football at Georgetown University and was once an assistant of Dick Harlow.
According to the story, only the fact that Margarita wanted a three year contract was holding up the signing of a contract. Margarita said last night that he had neither been approached by anyone, nor had he applied for the job.
He did say, however, that he felt it his duty to himself and his family to accept any contract which would better his position.
With spring practice three weeks away "Hooks" Mylin still leads the candidates for the position.
