Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
With an unidentified Lexington High goalie in the nets, the Dunster House hockey team handed Eliot its first defeat in four games yesterday morning at the Boston Skating Club. The 4 to 2 win will undoubtedly be protested.
Dunster showed up without a goal-tender, and the Minute Man's offered services were quickly accepted. It wasn't a bad idea, from the Funsters' point of view, because he turned out to be one of the stars of the game, along with Fred Coch and Bob Farnham, who scored two goals apiece against the Elephants.
Eliot got partial revenge in the afternoon when its A League basketball team climbed out of the basement on a 36 to 35 squeak over Winthrop. The Puritans carried a six point lead into the second half, but Eliot tied it up and won on a free throw by Dick Godshalk.
The contest was fairly close all the way, with Mickey Burrows standing out on defense for the winners.
B League Results
In the B League contests, Lowell edged Dudley, 31 to 30, and Winthrop swept over Eliot, 28 to 21. In the first game, the Bellboys' Irv Karassik came through with a layup with five seconds to play to clinch the contest. Jeff Watkins was high scorer for Lowell with 11 points.
Eliot never had a chance against the fast-breaking Winthrop quintet. Ben Atwood played a strong game around the backboards and was Puritan high-scorer with 14 points. Eliot's Jim Rossiter was outstanding, particularly toward the end of the game, but the Elephants were too far behind to win.
In A League squash matches yesterday, third-place Dunster knocked off league-leader Adams, 3 to 2. This enabled Eliot to pull into a first-place tie with the Gold Coasters by shutting out Leverett, 5 to 0. Lowell downed Kirkland by a 3 to 2 score.
Lowell's B League team handed a 5 to 0 blank to third-place Kirkland, and Dunster topped Adams, 3 to 2.
