'53 Sextet Loses To Strong BC, 9-1

It's trite to say "the roof fell in," but in the middle of the second period yesterday afternoon at the Arena, it did. And the freshman hockey team, riding on a winning streak of five straight, flunked the Boston College freshman test, 9 to 1.

The Crimson's Dave Cabot started the scoring in the first period, beating the Eaglet goalie on a pass from linemate Werner Willman. After that, the Harvard defense fell apart, the forward's passing was poor, and it was all B.C.

Eaglet goalie Joe Carrol only had to stop the puck 13 times, while Crimson goalies had an opportunity to make 31 saves. Even the Boston College second and third lines scored at will.
