Complete investigation of the long-delayed 1952 Red Book starts today when the 1952 Class Committee tries to discover who and what are responsible for the publication's failure to appear.
Editor-in-Chief Frank B. Gilbert '52 promised last night that the first copies of the book would appear without fail today and tomorrow. This is the fifth promise" made by Gilbert since fall registration day, when subscribers were originally supposed to receive the publication.
The Class Committee announcement of its forthcoming investigation was made several hours before Gilbert's latest guarantee. The decision to make an inquiry was prompted by the failure of the book to appear on Monday, Gilbert's fourth deadline.
The Red Book editor blamed the latest delay on difficulties in getting finished copies from the binding office.
