PBH Starts Book, Clothing Drive; Annex Seeks Settlement Workers

Radcliffe's Community Service Committee will run a drive for additional volunteers for work in settlement houses today through Saturday, committee chairman Marilyn Coverly '52 announced yesterday. The committee will assist in the Phillips Brooks House Clothing and Book Drive at the same time.

Nintey-three of the record 170 volunteers actually accepted jobs last term in ten settlement houses, the Children's Hospital or reading to blind students at Harvard, MIT, and Perkins Institute in Watertown. The need for these workers remains high, the Annex leaders said.

Community Service representatives in each dormitory will attempt to see every girl personally. Commuters will be able to sign up in Agassiz.

Clothing and books for the PBH drives will be collected simultaneously. The clothing will go to the Salzburg Seminar and the Friends Service Committee, and the books to the universities of Munich and Rangoon. These drives will close Thursday.
