Burma has been chosen by Phillips Brooks House officials as one of the areas to benefit from its Book and Clothing Drive, which begins Monday.
This action came is response to an appeal from the University of Rangoon, which needs scientific texts. Previously only the University of Munich was to receive books, but since Munich's needs are in humanities and social sciences, the two universities will share the collected books according to need.
Several local bookstores have already given books.
