McLaughlin Is Named Assistant Grad Dean

Provost Paul H. Buck announced last night the appointment of William G. McLaughlin as Assistant Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

McLaughlin, at present Director Treasurer of the Graduate Student Council, will be primarily concerned with housing of students in the various graduate schools. Next fall the Graduate Center will be under his administration.

McLaughlin was born in 1922 in Maplewood, New Jersey, and received his A.B. from Princeton in 1947. He received his A.M. in English from Harvard in 1949 and is currently working for a doctorate in the History of American Civilization.
