The varsity squash team overwhelmed a strong Williams squad, 8 to 1, here Saturday to remain undefeated in intercollegiate competition.
Coach Jack Barnaby's players have now downed McGill, Dartmouth, M.I.T., and Williams, winning 35 individual matches and losing only one. The freshman team also remained undefeated, in seven matches, routing the Ephmen first year men 9 to 0, while the Jayvees lost 4 to 3.
"I am very pleased with the progress of the team, both individually and as a whole," said Barnaby after the match. "Williams has a good squad, and we played well."
This team depth, as well as strength in the top half of the squad, gives the Crimson its most powerful nine since before the last war.
In individual matches, Captain Henry Foster, Joe Clark, and Hugh Nawn, the top three men on the Crimson team, were outstanding.
The varsity summary: Foster (H) defeated Squires, 3-1; Clark (H) defeated Allen, 3-1; Nawn (H) defeated Treman, 3-0; Ufford (H) defeated Dickinson, 3-1; Watts (H) defeated Muller, 3-0; Bacon (H) defeated Symington, 3-0; Kont (W) defeated Hear, 3-2; Mugaseth (H) defeated Thoron, 3-0; Flagg (H) defeated Debevoise, 3-0.

Brownell, 3-0; Ward (H) defeated Berry, 3-0; Rose (H) defeated Seed, 3-1; Miller (H) defeated Fulkerson, 3-0; Tomes (H) defeated Elish, 3-0; White (H) defeated Irwin, 3-0; Rauh (H) defeated Billings, 3-1; Carrigue (H) defeated Gulick, 3-0; Reynolds (H) defeated Bletter, 3-0.
