Conant Takes Up Post Again Today

President Conant will resume his duties at the University today after spending several weeks in the South, recovering from an acute diverticulitis operation he underwent last fall.

This morning, President Conant will preside over the bi-monthly meeting of the Corporation. He will come directly from Washington where he has been discussing draft plans with Selective Service officials for the last several days.

His doctors think that President Conant should be able to assume all previous responsibilities, in addition to the problems that have come up as a result of the present national crisis, Immediate plans concerning the draft and the University are not yet known.
