A seven-man "March of Time" movie crew filmed scenes of Kirkland's Christmas play and its audience last night for background in a forthcoming short on Harvard. The film will be used by the College to stimulate applications for admission.
All the current shots will be for background, since no script has yet been written. Director of Alumni Records Peter E. Pratt, whose office is in charge of the movie, said last night he expected a script writer in Cambridge early next week.
When a writer arrives, he will probably live in one of the Houses to get first-hand impressions of the College, Pratt said. The Crimson Key, which recently led in forming the Undergraduate Schools Committee in order to increase applications from the South and West, will help familiarize "March of Time" personnel with the College.
