Fourteen out of 18 Yard basketball teams played games last night. In the American League, Thayer North beat Lionel, 33 to 21; Matthews North downed Straus North, 34 to 22; and Holworthy shaded Stoughton, 24 to 22.

In the National League, Weld North edged Thayer, 21 to 19; Wigglesworth West routed Hollis, 45 to 6; Matthews South downed Mower, 34 to 22; and Massachusetts conquered Grays, 23 to 12.

Massachusetts and Matthews South are currently tied for the lead in the National League, while Matthews North heads the American League standings.
