Lowell House upset Kirkland 42 to 28, Eliot walked over Adams 32 to 20, and Dunster defeated Winthrop 29 to 25 yesterday in their first wins of the House basketball season.
Dunster beat the taller Winthrop basketball team with sheer determination in a consistently sloppy game. Kirkland, last year's champions, threatened the Bellboys in the third quarter but faded. Eliot had little trouble throughout its game. In spite of giving the Gold Coasters seven foul shots, they held them scoreless in the third quarter.
Center Allen Kenny was top man on the Lowell five with 14 points. John Davis was high-scorer for the Elephants.
The Dunster B team defeated Winthrop by the same score as the A team, 29 to 25. The Adams and Kirkland B teams reversed the results of the A teams, beating Lowell and Eliot 33 to 22 and 42 to 20 respectively.
Last Monday the Dudley hockey team toppled Eliot House, defending House champions, 2 to 0. This was the first defeat for Eliot House in four years.
Tomorrow all B teams, and all A teams except Adams and Lowell will play.
