Council Loses Debate On British Socialism

The Combined British Universities Debating Team won a split decision over the Debate Council before 200 spectators last night in the New Lecture Hall. The British argued the affirmative of the topic: "Resolved: That Democratic Socialism is the strongest barrier against Communism."

The British team has been in America eight weeks, and has appeared at 35 colleges and universities in the East and Mid-West for debates and discussions.
