2 Students Foiled in Attempted Cat Rescue

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Two benevolent students attracted a crowd yesterday as they scaled Widener's South wall in an attempt to rescue a large white cat marooned on a high ledge.

After reaching the ledge, approximately 30 feet above ground, they found that the cat had run out of reach. It rounded the corner-and several seconds later poked its head around to see if its pursuer wore still there.

Other students began to attempt the climb, but were stopped by the arrival of Yard police.

Observers could not tell whether this was the same extroverted feline which spends most of its spare time stalking wild game in the Yard.
