Blood pledges for the final night of solicitation yesterday brought the total to about 200 above last spring's record drive, publicity director Carl N. Sapers '53 said last night.
Sapers estimated that about 1,300 men have signed up, including uncounted students from the Commuters Center. If only half of these are able to give, the College will still surpass its 541-pint record of last spring, the highest total over given by a single college.
Eliot still led the other Houses with 165 pledges. The Yard signed up 300, Kirkland, 158, Dunster, 139, Lowell, 120, Winthrop, 110, Adams, 105, and Leverett, 100. Apley, Dudley, and Claverly together totalled 80.
Those students who still wish to pledge blood for collection on December 11 to 15 may sign up at Phillips Brooks House.
