Stargel Gets Honorable Mention In All-American Football Poll

Bob Stargel, Harvard lineman, was one of 15 New England football players to win honorable mention in the All-American football poll. No player from New England placed on either the first or second teams.

Dan Foldberg, end and captain of the Army team, was the only Eastern player to make the first team All-American. The second team boasted two Easterners, Bernie Lemonick and Reds Bagnall, both of Penn.
