Qualified college students may now apply for commissions in six branches of the Naval Reserve.
General line officer commissions are open to students who have had two full courses in Mathematics and one in Physics. 1-A draft eligibles may enter the program only if they have already received their diplomas. Such graduates will go on active duty immediately after training.
Applications for supply corps commissions will be accepted from those holding a business administration degree. Draft status applies the same as for general line commissions.
No 1-A draft eligibles will be accepted for engineer, electronics, or chaplain commissions. Students interested in intelligence commissions should apply to Headquarters, First Naval District.
