Phillips Brooks House will begin a three-day blood drive next Monday. The aim will be to surpass last March's record of 541 pints, which is the most ever gives at a single college.

Drive chairman Ira H. Peterman '52 said last night that there is a special need for blood in view of the Korean war. "According to the American Red Cross," he added, "300,000 pints of blood would be needed for immediate use if an atom bomb hit-Boston."

Blood pledged next week will be collected on December 11 to 15 at P.B.H.

Peterman said that donating blood will take about a half hour. No donor, he stated, will be asked to give blood if is the opinion of the Red Cross doctors he is not in good health. Any member of the University can obtain blood free from the Red Cross upon request.
