The Harvard-Yale game tomorrow will bring no changes in usual football weekend parietal rules, Housemasters announced last night.
Two years ago the Housemasters held a meeting the week before the game and decided to extend guest permissions uniformly until 9 p.m. on Saturday night, although all House dances started at 8:30 p.m. However, no such arrangement will be made this year.
Not Discussed
All masters contacted last night said that the matter has never come up at recent meetings since no one has suggested or recommended a change. They have decided to abide by the usual weekend rules, which usually entail ending guest privileges at the starting-time of a dance in that House or any other.
Gordon M. Fair, master of Dunster House, pointed out that the 1948 arrangement had left orchestras playing for a half-hour to almost empty dance halls.
Winthrop, Adams, and Lowell will have 8:30 p.m. privileges tomorrow while Dunster's will end at 8:15 p.m. The other three Houses have not yet established a definite closing time.
Rules Tonight
With Eliot and Winthrop holding formal dances tonight, no standard time has been agreed upon for ending permissions. Winthrop, Eliot, and Lowell have decided to extend privileges to 9 p.m.--dance time--while Leverett, Kirkland, and Dunster will allow no women in after 8 p.m. Adams closes down for female guests at 8:30 p.m.
Although some Houses have not yet set a definite policy for signing in dates, most of them will require signing today, but will waive the requirement tomorrow.
