Former 'Crimeds' Publish Booklet Illustrating University Times, Life

A whimsical account of present day Harvard by two former CRIMSON editors will go on sale today. "Inside Harvard," a 62 page booklet, contains cartoons by David G. Braaten '46 and text by William S. Fairfield '50.

Fifty-three cartoons by Breaten are the feature of the book; most of these illustrations appeared in the CRIMSON during the years 1946-49 when he was staff cartoonist.

The text is divided into chapters which include Education, Organized Social Life, Girls and Sublimation, Administration, and Environment.

Fairfield, a former CRIMSON managing editor, now writes a newspaper column in Washington. Braaten is now a State Department courier.

In the text Fairfield discusses such problems as the vague generality which will enable the student to impress the course grader. Fairfield cites a number of statements which he then explains can be used in any examination in that particular field.

The booklet will also be sold at near by girls' colleges as well as here at the University.
