The Brown bear learned something Saturday: "It doesn't pay to fool around with Malcolm Holmes '28.

Band director Holmes and his mad musicians were serenading the Brown stands when the bear thumbed his nose at Holmes. "I ordered the monster away, but got no response."

Followed by his coterie, Holmes turned his back on the furry animal and joined his friends.
