Police to Reopen Brickman Probe

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Cambridge police renewed their investigation into the death of Jeremiah Brickman 2L, who died October 28 from a fractured skill and a sub-dural hemorrhage received October 26.

Captain of Detectives Patrick F. Ready said that pressure brought by Frank Brickman, the dead student's father, caused the current inquiry. The District Attorney's office, called into the case by Law School officials, assigned State Police Sergeant Sylvester Meade to prepare a report for that office.

Ready stated that he is "satisfied the death was not caused by foul play," but he wants to satisfy Frank Brickman of this. He will hold an inquest in a few weeks in District Court to bring all the witnesses before Brickman.

Livingston Hall, Law School vice dean, who Brickman asked to investigate "certain items" in the death, said yesterday he has turned in all the information he has uncovered during the past week to Middlesex District Attorney George A. Thompson. Thompson transmitted this to the Cambridge police and Sergeant Meade.
