The '54 soccer team will try for its sixth win today when it meets a competent Brown freshman squad at 12 noon on the Business School Field.
Coach Poley Guyda gave the Yardlings a long drill on shooting accuracy in yesterday's preparation for the last game before Yale. In the scrimmage that followed, both the first and second strings looked polished.
Guyda came up with a forward line that clicked in the Tufts game last Wednesday. In this line, Griff Buttrick may replace Juan Rodriguez at center forward on the basis of his quick score against Tufts in the second period. Inside left Juan Vollenweider's will probably move to wing in place of Morris Noble, while Ernie Young should take Vollenweider's usual post.
Brown has split even in four games. Both the Crimson and Brown beat M.I.T. and Tufts and lost to Nichols Junior College. Connecticut freshmen took Brown, 4 to 0, while only tying the Yardlings, 1 to 1.
