Elections for a new Student Council will begin on December 6, if the council's revised constitution receives the necessary two-thirds approval for ratification from the College next Tuesday.

Under the new constitution nominations for candidates from the Houses must be submitted by November 29. Elections for these men will be held the following Wednesday. Nominations for class Candidates must close on December 8 and these elections will be run off on December 13.

William R. Polk '51, chairman of the foreign affairs committee of the Student Council, last night told the council his committee's plans to gather information on students throughout the United States.

This information will be circulated to foreign students in an effort to show them how American college groups have solved such problems as housing and self-help. "At present," Polk said, "the only people making an appeal for students' favor in the world are the Russians."
