Moffie Enrolls in Tufts Class of '53

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

One Harvard student concentrated in football rather than studies. Harold J. Moffie '50, fleet backfield star of Valpey's regime, is now an undergraduate engineering concentrator at Tufts. At Harvard the decision was between football practice or afternoon labs. "I took football," said Moffie, "and close courses other than engineering." Hence his present undergraduate status.

Moffie used up his football eligibility at Harvard. His big desire now is to finish his education and to enter his father's architectural business.

Moffie, however, has not completely left football or the Harvard atmosphere. He lives on Irving Street, with former teammate "Chief" Bender. Bender is coach of the Dunster football team, and Moffie is backfield coach of the Reading High School team.

Moffie last night wished the '50 team well in this afternoon's opener against Columbia. A star against Yale two years ago, he sequired a limp in the Stanford game last year that left him on the injured list for most of the season.
