YALE--Criminal Clashes Cause Concern

A series of petty crimes by Yale students has enveloped New Haven and outlying areas, according to latest reports in the Yale News and other New Haven newspapers. All the crimes are characterized by inexplicable and anti-sociality.

A Yale man who stole ten dollars from the Sister Kenny Polio Fund to aid infantile paralysis victims has been asked to return the money anonymously.

The Yale Station Post Office has called for the Yale students who stole $11.20 in stamps from a stamp machine to return the loot. They were reminded that the post office superintendent will have to pay the deficit out of his own pocket if the stamps are not returned.

Evidence that some citizens are up in arms over the Yale outrages came yesterday. A Connecticut farmer shot Yale freshman John Brittingham in the right hip and arm with a shotgun. The farmer told police that he was guarding against night-time marauders who were dumping his milk cans. Three other Yalies, who were with Brittingham, were released by police and their names withheld.
