Law Students Dies as Result Of Mysterious Head Injury

A second year law student died suddenly Saturday night of head injuries he received last Thursday, and authorities are still confused about the actual cause of the injuries.

Jeromiah Brickman, 20 years old, succumbed in Peter Bent Brigham Hospital after two days of near-unconsciousness.

An autopsy performed yesterday revealed bleeding inside the brain and a fracture on the back of the skill, but no one knows whether both injuries were caused by one blow, or the cerebral bleeding caused a fall which resulted in the skull fracture.

Cambridge police last night said they have detectives working on the case.

Brickman dined Thursday night with his roommate and another friend at the home of acquaintances in Cambridge. On the way home he left them, at about 10:20 p.m., to go into Hillel House at 5 Bryant Street. He answered the greeting of Rabbi Maurice Zigmond, Hillel director, and went immediately into the bathroom.

Lying on Couch

When Zigmond started to close the house 15 minutes later, he discovered Brickman lying on he couch in the television room in a delirious condition. He also discovered Brickman's glasses, unbroken, on the bathroom floor.

Zigmond and two Hillel student directors rushed Brickman to Stillman Infirmary, from where he was sent to the Brigham Hospital in Boston.

Sheldon Goodman 2L, Brickman's room- mate, said that Brickman was in "fine condition psychologically, and that they bad had big plans for the Dartmouth weekend.

Brickman graduated from New York University in 1949. While a student there he was president of the Jewish Cultural Foundation.

The official report of the Boston Medical Examiner released last night, gave as the cause of death fracture of the skull, extra and sub dural hematoma, and continues and laceration of the brain, manner not known
