Lattimore, Mrs. Pandit Talk On Asia in November Forum

Owen Lattimore and Mrs. Vijaya Pandit, sister of Prime Minister Nehru of India, Will speak on the "Struggle in Asia" at a Law School Forum on Friday, November 24, Forum officers announced last night.

The "Moral Responsibility of the Scientist" will be debated at a Law Forum Friday by Pitirim A. Sorokin, professor of Sociology, Norbert Wiener of M.I.T., Lean Sxilard of the University of Chicago, and Henry D. Aiken '40, associate professor of Philosophy. Harlow Shapley, director of the College Observatory, will preside at the meetings at 8 p.m. in Rindge Tech.

James T. Farrell, author of "Studs Lonigan," will talk at a forum on the American novel on November 17. Additional speakers will be announced later.

"Crime in U.S."

A discussion on "Crime in the United States" will occur on December 8, but as yet no speakers have been selected.

Mrs. Pandit, who will speak at the forum on Asia, is currently Indian ambassador to the United States and has represented her country at the United Nations. She visited the University with her brother last October.

Lattimore, who is a professor at Johns Hopkins University, speaks tonight at Wellesley College.
