Radcliffe Temporarily Calls Off 'Open House'

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Radcliffe's dormitory open houses are out of commission temporarily.

Head residents of the Quadrangle's seven brick dormitories voted this week to shut down the dorms at their regular closing hours. Open houses, they said, will got underway again after winter weather brings back the demand to keep the dorms open.

Under the open house system, the brick dorms take turns staying open until 12 p.m. during week nights.

A trial period of the last two weeks showed that only a small handful of couples were using open house facilities.

The number is expected to increase in the next few months, when the cold weather comes.
