Harness Racers Wind Up Their Local Season

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Harness racing closes its season for local fans tomorrow when the Metropolitan Driving Club of Boston holds its annual Columbus Day race on the Charles River Speedway.

The Metropolitan's Columbus Day race is one of the few "sporting" events in which horses can still participate in this country. There are no big stakes nor is there betting to speak of. Tradition and color will be part of the setting rather than gaudy jackets, improbable neckties, and huge electric scoreboards.
