Led by three drum majors and a walkie-talkie intercom, the Cornell Band will march 100 strong to Soldiers Field this Saturday for the first time since 1941.
The musicians should be one of the best bands to perform in the Stadium this year, according to Harvard Band manager Paul A. Lucey '51. An R.O.T.C. drill master, supplied by the Cornell corps, has been working on their precision marching technique.
Both the band leader and the drummers will carry walkie-talkie phones, communicating with each other during the numbers to keep percussion in step with the rest of the music.
Most of the Cornell musicians will be put up at homes of Boston alumni.
