Thanks to some quick thinking last Tuesday by Robert Walsh '50, Cambridge police caught up with a prowler who has been trying doors and peering in windows on Irving Street for nearly two weeks.

As Walsh was returning to his home at 24 Irving Street Tuesday morning, he noticed a man acting suspiciously in the shadows. Going into the house, Walsh aroused landlord John Misho and Miss Irene H. Dennis, who had noticed the prowler on an earlier occasion.

While Miss Dennis telephoned the police, Walsh and Dennis left the house and chased the man. Patrolmen William Powers and Eugene O'Brien, alerted in their cruiser car by headquarters, caught up with the fleeing man at the corner of Kirkland Street and Summer Road.

Police announced last night that he has been released on probation until February 27.
