Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. '38, associate professor of History, will be a principal speaker at the Intercollegiate Conference in Democratic Planning to be held on March 18 in Emerson D. The meeting is under the sponsorship of the Society for Industrial Democracy.

A preliminary session for all interested students will take place on February 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Phillips Brooks House.

M. J. Caldwell, leader of the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation in the Canadian Parliament, will also address the meeting. Boston University, Simmons, and Radcliffe will be among those represented.

Schlesinger is the author of the recent "Vital Center," and a former Pulitzer Prize winner.
