Reynolds Chosen President's Aide

James R. Reynolds '23 has been appointed as Assistant to the President, it was announced by the Corporation on Sunday. Is his new position, Reynolds will coordinate development plans in all parts of the University.

Reynolds, who has been assisting President Conant in the field for several months, came to Harvard from Washington, where he was Administrative Assistant to Senator Leverett Saltonstall '14. He is a former Selectman of the Town of Wenham and served as a Representative in the General Court of Massachusetts from 1640 and 1642 and Secretary to Mr. Saltonstall, both as Governor from 1942 to 1944 and later as Senator.
