Part of a $700,000 estate has been left to Harvard for research on the common cold, according to terms of the will of Paul V. Bacon '98 of Wellesley, Mass., who died November 9.
Bacon, who was a member of the Allyn and Bacon publishing firm, left equal shares in the firm to a son and a daughter. Another son received one dollar, with Harvard gaining the remainder of the estate.
