Council Will Hear Bender at First Meeting Tonight

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Dean Bender will address the Student Council's first meeting of the year at 7 p.m. tonight in the Noble Room of Phillips Brooks House. He will represent the College Administration during the discussion of Council policies for the coming two terms.

The combined charities drive, to which students will be asked to contribute at registration, is on the agenda for special consideration with emphasis on the Student Welfare Charities, which provide scholarships for undergraduates in need.

Tonight's meeting and those during the remainder of the year will be open to all students who wish to attend and take an active part in the discussion.

Council officers, however, have extended a special invitation to men interested in working with the Council or on a committee. Under the present system committees, composed of a council member and a number of students study a particular problem in detail during the year and make a report on which the council can take action.
