A fire on the roof of Radcliffe's Whitman Hall yesterday morning destroyed four mattreases and a section of the roof's railing before grounds maintenance men and firemen arrived.

Firemen believed sparka from the incinerator which lit upon sun-bathing mattresses, started the blaze.
