Kenneth B. Murdock '16, Francis Lee Higginson Professor of English Literature, will serve as a Radcliffe College trustee until June, 1950.
He will fill out the uncompleted term of office of Bart J. Bok, professor of Astronomy, who resigned as a representative of the Harvard faculties.
President W. K. Jordan also announced the election of four other trustees at Annex Commencement exercises this morning.
They are J. Seelye Bixler, president of Colby College in Waterville, Me.; Mrs. John A. Moir of Chestnut Hill; Mrs. Clement A. Smith, instructor in the Radcliffe Management Training Program; and Edwin R. Embree of Chicago and New York City, president of the Julius Rosenwald Fund.
All will serve for six year terms.
Alumnae trustees named for the same span of office include Dr. Marian C. Putnam, lecturer in psychiatry at Harvard, MIT, and Boston University, and co-director of the James Jackson Putnam Children's Center; and Miss Marian W. Vaillant, principal of the Buckingham School in Cambridge.
