Thieves Sneak into Dunster, Take Rug

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In the period between 9 and 10:15 Thursday night, thieves slipped into Dunster Small Common Room and left with a large oriental rug, on loan from Fogg Muscum, that had completely covered the floor.

Night superintendent James Brennan, on his 10:15 p.m. rounds, discovered the rug was missing and immediately called University police, who turned the case over to the Cambridge Police Department.

No solution was reported yesterday by the Cambridge police, whose Bureau of Criminal Investigation is handling the case.
