Crimson skippers Pete Putnam and Frank Scully took third place for the College in the New England College Dinghy Championships at New London, Connecticut, yesterday, losing second place to Brown by only two points, 105 to 107.
Yale took first in the two-day regatta with 144 points, thereby qualifying along with Brown for the National Championships. The races were over a three-quarter mile windward-leeward course, and sailing conditions were almost ideal.
