Wheaton Bids for Debater as Coach

Melvin L. Zurier '50, President of the Debate Council, was offered a position as coach of the new Wheaton College debate team after he participated in a demonstration debate at Norton.

Debating with William C. Becker '51 against an MIT team, Zurier argued the negative of the question "Resolved, That the Communist Party should be outlawed." The audience, which was 98 percent girl students, picked Harvard as the winners by a vote of 43 to 2.
